Il campo di regata
Le regate si svolgono a Cagliari, nello specchio d’acqua che si sviluppa dall’area fronte porto, con la vista della città, e prosegue intorno al Capo Sant’Elia per concludersi oltre la Sella del Diavolo, davanti alla grande spiaggia del Poetto.
Siamo nel sud della Sardegna, nell’ampio golfo degli Angeli che guarda verso l’Africa.

Cagliari è la città ideale per le varie discipline dello sport della vela, scelta come base per gli allenamenti da molti velisti provenienti da tutto il mondo perché offre una combinazione di elementi favorevoli difficile da trovare altrove: il clima piacevole e mai freddo, il vento che non manca mai, con il Maestrale che prevale sugli altri ma lascia ampio spazio anche al Levante e allo Scirocco, il mare che non ingrossa mai e con deboli correnti. E poi ci sono i servizi della città e il centro storico a pochi passi dalle basi nautiche e dai campi di allenamento: Cagliari ha una dimensione a misura d’uomo che riesce a soddisfare qualunque esigenza entro distanze minime. Ma soprattutto è l’ambiente umano e la sua proverbiale ospitalità, insieme allo stile di vita sereno e rilassato, che spinge qualunque visitatore, velista o no, a desiderare di vivere in questa città.

The race area
The regattas take place in Cagliari, in the body of water that develops from the area facing the port, with a view of the city, and continues around Capo Sant'Elia to end beyond the Sella del Diavolo, in front of the large Poetto beach.
We are in the south of Sardinia, in the wide gulf of Angels which looks towards Africa.
