COME SI GIOCA CON IL "SIMULATORE di REGATA"
Prima di tutto
Come prima cosa devi scaricare l’app e installarla, scegliendo un tuo nickname. A questo punto sarai nell’elenco degli iscritti e potrai sfidare qualunque altro giocatore presente e partecipare ai trofei che vengono organizzati e proposti nella relativa sezione.
Come si gioca
Lo schermo mostra la tua barca al centro, con a sinistra la scotta della randa e a destra il timone, in modo che si possano regolare affinché la barca proceda con la massima velocità possibile verso le boe, tenendo conto che controvento non può andare. Controvento comprende un angolo di circa 30 gradi da una parte e dall’altra rispetto alla direzione da cui arriva il vento: se la prua della barca si trova all’interno di quei 30 gradi, a sinistra o a destra, tenderà a fermarsi. L’indicazione della tua velocità, in alto accanto al cerchio, ti farà capire come regolare al meglio le vele, con la scotta a sinistra, e scegliere la direzione della tua barca in funzione dell’angolo con il vento, regolando a destra il timone: ti accorgerai come cambia la velocità, esattamente come accade realmente nelle barche a vela.
Dalla prima schermata, tramite la freccia a destra, si accede a una seconda schermata con le voci Allenamento, Sfide, Trofei.
Allenamento
Alla voce Allenamento puoi provare a fare una regata sfidando il BOT, ossia un avversario virtuale controllato dall’intelligenza artificiale del gioco, e dovrai arrivare al traguardo entro 7 minuti. Vedrai in alto al centro dello schermo il tempo che ti rimane per concludere la prova, e alla fine ti verrà comunicato il tempo impiegato per lo svolgimento di tutta la regata.
La regata che fai è tracciata nel riquadro tondo in alto a destra, in modo che tu possa seguire il tuo percorso, vedere dove sono le boe da raggiungere, e soprattutto conoscere la posizione del BOT quando non è presente nel campo visivo. La freccia nera presente in quel riquadro ti indica da dove proviene il vento, mentre a destra del riquadro è indicata l’intensità del vento.
ATTENZIONE: Le condizioni del vento, intensità e direzione, possono variare durante le prove. Ti accorgerai del cambiamento perché il riquadro tondo in alto a destra diventa rosso e lampeggia.
Per le precedenze valgono solo queste due regole: la precedenza ce l’ha chi ha le mura a dritta oppure chi, a parità di condizioni, è sottovento rispetto all’avversario. Se non le rispetti sarai costretto alla penalità, 10 secondi di attesa prima di ripartire.
Ogni volta che sfidi il BOT in allenamento e vinci, guadagni 2 punti.
Sfide
Nella lista che trovi sotto LANCIA UNA SFIDA, ci sono tutti i partecipanti all’eSailing Cup; se l’utente è presente in quel momento, apparirà un pallino verde e potrai sfidarlo in reale: gli lanci la sfida, lui riceve l’avviso e se accetta la sfida parte la regata. C’è anche una chat, sulla destra di ogni partecipante, che ti permette di dialogare.
Se l’avversario che hai scelto non è presente, puoi comunque sfidarlo: nell’elenco LE TUE SFIDE ti comparirà il suo nome con il simbolo della clessidra e dovrai aspettare che accetti la sfida e faccia la sua prova.
Una volta fatta la sua regata, non ci sarà più la clessidra ma la freccia su sfondo verde, e tu potrai fare la tua prova, regatando con il suo ghost, con la sensazione di regatare con un avversario in tempo reale.
Se invece sei tu ad aver ricevuto una sfida, nell’elenco LE TUE SFIDE ci sarà il suo nome con la freccia su sfondo verde, e potrai fare la regata.
Una sfida può essere eliminata attraverso il tasto cestino.
ATTENZIONE: le precedenze valgono solo quando si gareggia in contemporanea.
Se vinci, il nome del tuo avversario sarà su sfondo verde, se perdi sarà su sfondo rosso, in ogni caso riceverai un alert che ti comunica chi ha vinto la regata.
Se sfidi qualcuno e ti ritiri, o per qualche motivo esci dalla regata, risulta un abbandono e la tua prova è terminata; il tuo avversario può vincere la regata, ma dovrà fare e concludere la sua prova.
Ogni volta che vinci una sfida guadagni 10 punti.
Trofei
Alla voce trofei trovi i trofei in corso, con l’indicazione delle date e delle modalità di partecipazione. Una volta iscritti, si gioca esattamente come nelle sfide: puoi sfidare tutti gli avversari iscritti e accumulare punti per ogni regata vinta. Nei trofei non valgono le condizioni della barca, si gareggia tutti alle stesse condizioni.
Nei trofei il punteggio tiene conto delle regate vinte e delle regate fatte: a parità di regate vinte, avrà un punteggio maggiore chi avrà fatto e concluso un numero maggiore di regate.
Condizioni delle vele e dello scafo
Ricordati che eSailingCup è un simulatore di regata che ripropone il comportamento della barca come avviene nella realtà: non solo la velocità e le andature in funzione del vento, ma anche le condizioni delle sue parti, ossia l’usura delle vele in funzione delle prove svolte e la pulizia della carena necessaria dopo un certo periodo di tempo.
Per mantenere l’efficienza del 100% devi cambiare le vele e provvedere alla pulizia dello scafo quando superi il termine previsto.
Per fare questo devi avere i punti necessari.
I Punti
Con i punti, oltre a sostituire le vele e pulire la carena, puoi decidere di migliorare le caratteristiche della tua barca: puoi montare le vele in carbonio o sostituire lo scafo con uno più leggero,
oppure puoi comprarti gli occhiali da sole che ti permettono di sapere dove si trova la boa quando esce dallo schermo.
Puoi anche scegliere di acquistare i punti necessari.
Nel tuo profilo trovi sempre le condizioni della tua barca e la quantità di punti a disposizione.
Cancellazione Utente
Per effettuare la cancellazione del proprio utente dall'applicazione, dopo aver fatto la login accedere al profilo utente cliccando sull'icona in alto a destra
apparirà un popup con un pulsante per la cancellazione.
L'operazione elimina i dati utente relativamente a Nome e Indirizzo Email.

HOW TO PLAY WITH THE "REGATTA SIMULATOR"
First of all
First, you need to download and install the app, choosing your nickname. At this point, you’ll be listed among the registered users and can challenge any other player and participate in the trophies organized and available in the dedicated section.
How to play
The screen shows your boat in the center, with the mainsail sheet on the left and the rudder on the right, so you can adjust them to sail as fast as possible toward the buoys — keeping in mind that you cannot sail directly into the wind. "Sailing into the wind" includes an angle of about 30 degrees on either side of the wind’s direction: if the boat's bow is within those 30 degrees (left or right), it will tend to stop. The speed indicator, located at the top near the circle, helps you understand how to best adjust the sails (left sheet) and choose your boat’s direction based on the wind angle, by adjusting the rudder on the right: you'll notice changes in speed, just like on a real sailing boat.
From the first screen, use the arrow on the right to access a second screen with the items: Training, Challenges, Trophies.
Training
In the Training section, you can try a regatta against the BOT, a virtual opponent controlled by the game’s artificial intelligence, and you must reach the finish line within 7 minutes. At the top center of the screen, you'll see the remaining time to complete the test, and at the end, your total time will be shown.
The regatta is tracked in the round window at the top right, so you can follow your path, see where the buoys are, and especially know the BOT’s position when it's not visible on screen. The black arrow in that window shows the wind direction, while the wind intensity is indicated on the right side of the window.
WARNING: Wind conditions — direction and intensity — can change during the test. You'll notice this because the round window at the top right will flash red.
Only these two right-of-way rules apply: priority goes to the boat on starboard tack, or if conditions are equal, to the one leeward of the opponent. If you don't respect these, you’ll incur a penalty: a 10-second wait before restarting.
Each time you beat the BOT in training, you earn 2 points.
Challenges
In the list under LAUNCH A CHALLENGE, you'll find all participants in the eSailing Cup. If a user is online, a green dot will appear, and you can challenge them in real time: they’ll receive a notification, and if they accept, the regatta starts. There’s also a chat icon to the right of each participant so you can communicate.
If your chosen opponent is not online, you can still challenge them: in the YOUR CHALLENGES list, their name will appear with an hourglass symbol, and you'll have to wait for them to accept and complete their trial.
Once they’ve raced, the hourglass is replaced by a green-arrow icon, and you can run your trial — racing against their "ghost," giving the impression of a live match.
If you’ve received a challenge, their name will appear in YOUR CHALLENGES with the green-arrow icon, and you can race.
A challenge can be deleted using the trash icon.
WARNING: Right-of-way rules only apply in simultaneous races.
If you win, your opponent’s name will have a green background; if you lose, it’ll be red. In any case, you’ll receive an alert notifying you of the race result.
If you challenge someone and quit or exit the regatta for any reason, it’s considered a withdrawal and your trial ends; your opponent can still win, but they must complete their race.
Each time you win a challenge, you earn 10 points.
Trophies
In the Trophies section, you'll find the ongoing trophies, along with the dates and participation rules. Once registered, you play exactly as you would in challenges: you can challenge any other registered opponent and earn points for each regatta you win. In trophies, boat conditions don’t apply — all players race under the same conditions.
In trophies, the score takes into account both the number of regattas won and the total number of regattas completed: if two players have the same number of wins, the one who has completed more regattas will have a higher score.
Sail and hull conditions
Remember that eSailingCup is a regatta simulator that realistically replicates boat behavior: not just speed and angles relative to the wind, but also the condition of its components — like sail wear from use and the need to clean the hull after a certain period.
To maintain 100% efficiency, you must replace the sails and clean the hull once you exceed the allowed usage.
To do this, you need the required number of points.
Points
With points, in addition to replacing the sails and cleaning the hull, you can choose to improve your boat’s features: you can equip carbon sails or replace the hull with a lighter one,
or even buy sunglasses that let you see the buoy’s position when it’s off-screen.
You can also choose to purchase additional points.
Your profile always shows the condition of your boat and your available points.
User Deletion
To delete your user account from the app, log in and go to your profile by clicking the icon at the top right.
A popup will appear with a delete button.
This action permanently deletes your user data, including Name and Email Address.

To delete your user account from the application, after logging in, access your user profile by clicking the icon in the top right corner. A pop-up with a delete button will appear.
This deletes your user data such as your Name and Email Address.

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
